Beginning with the Fall 2010/11 season we will be using a new player pass format. This is the only format that will be acceptable and used. The biggest change is fairly obvious - we are moving the picture to the front. While this will mean a little more work for the registrars in making sure we get photos that are properly sized (1 inch by 1-1/2 inch works great!), this change has two benefits. One, it helps the credentials check process, both on and off the field by having the name and vitals right next to the photo. Second, it sets us up for future changes where we will be able to print the picture DIRECTLY on the pass!
The other changes are not quite so glaring, but important anyway. We have rearranged some information and used abbreviations where appropriate. The line with the age group, division and card type is a good example.
Also, below the photo there are two lines of information that are required to be visible. They are the date the pass was printed and a unique serial number (that is recorded in the system) that is assigned to that pass.
You may also notice that the District Registration stamp is missing. That will be the subject of a future post - stay tuned!

[EDIT] Added the measurement of the photo to the article. Basically, the size requirement hasn't changed - still 1"x1.5".
